Privacy policy

This policy covers the TipFever iOS and Android apps and this website (https://tipfever.app). TipFever is a sports betting tips app. It is not a bookmaker and does not process betting stakes.

Who we are

The service is operated by Szabó Gergő. Questions: szabogergo.ev@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Account and purchase data. Premium is sold through Apple App Store and Google Play via RevenueCat. We receive a purchase identifier so we can restore your subscription. We do not store your card number.
• Optional location. If you grant permission, we may use it to show tips that are more relevant to your region. You can refuse and still use the app.
• Push tokens. If you enable notifications, OneSignal stores a device token so we can send alerts when new tips are published.
• App analytics. PostHog records product events (screens opened, features used) so we can fix bugs and see what is useful. This is not sold as an advertising list.
• Feedback you send. Name, email, and the message you type in the Feedback form.
• Referral codes. Codes you generate or redeem, so we can grant the one-month Premium reward after five successful referrals.
• Votes and saved tips. Your vote on the daily fixture and, for Premium, tips you save in My Tips.
• Website admin. The /admin area on this site uses Clerk for staff login. That is not part of the consumer app.
• Advertising identifiers. Free users may see Google AdMob ads, including optional rewarded videos to unlock a premium tip. AdMob may use a device advertising ID subject to your OS settings.

Why we use it

To run the app, deliver tips and notifications, restore purchases, measure whether features work, respond to support, and (for free users) show ads. Legal bases under GDPR include contract (providing the app you installed), consent (optional location, push, tracking on iOS), and legitimate interest (security, basic analytics).

Third parties

We use Convex to host app data, OneSignal for push, RevenueCat plus Apple and Google for payments, Google AdMob for ads, PostHog for product analytics, Vercel to host this website, and Clerk for staff login on /admin. Each has its own privacy policy.

Retention and security

We keep data as long as your install or subscription needs it, then delete or anonymize it when it is no longer required, unless the law says otherwise. No method of transmission is perfectly secure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal data, or object to certain processing. Email szabogergo.ev@gmail.com. You can also reset advertising and tracking permissions in iOS and Android settings, and uninstall the app at any time.

Children

TipFever is for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes

We will post updates on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised policy.
